SMOKE WAGON TASTING NOTES AND INFO FROM DISTILLER:

    BATCH 44:

44 is the last batch using the same vintage and floor blend starting with 41.
Once again lots of sweet candy and fruit flavors upfront, vanilla, caramel, brown sugar are all there as well as some nice cherry and apple.
The finish is delightful baking spice but a little more subtle with the cinnamon, not quite as intense as the other batches. Don’t get me wrong my tongue is tingling with all the spice but this batch is more balanced, more like 41. The oak is buried way deep on this one and just adds to the subtle complexity of the finish.
This is probably the most dangerously easy drinking of the past 4 batches.
An absolutely beautiful well balanced batch that is noting but delicious. It’s a nice complement to the bigger and bolder 42 and 43 batches.

BATCH 42: "WINNER OF DOUBLE GOLD"
Another incredibly balanced batch. Upfront lots of candy flavors, butterscotch, caramel, brown sugar as well as some fruit, nice cherry and apple undertones. Oh so nice and creamy.
Here comes the finish, big spice, cinnamon, nutmeg and light white pepper come on strong and gets the tongue a tinglin’. Some oak comes in late on the back of the tongue but it is quickly replaced by honey and a lighter version of the initial spice explosion. It all lingers for quite a long time. After the first couple sips, heat is no longer a factor. Look out because this sucker is 114.88 proof and drinks way gentler than that.
There’s very little variation between this and 41. If there’s any the sweet oak comes on slightly stronger on the finish than 41 but that’s about it.
