Slightly different take on a Whiskey Sour! The wine float makes for a great presentation and adds a fruity element to the traditional Whiskey Sour.
2 Oz Bourbon (can use Rye as well)
1 Oz Fresh Lemon Juice
1 Oz Simple Syrup
1/2 Oz fruity red wine (I prefer Malbec)
Pour Bourbon, Lemon Juice and Simple Syrup into a cocktail shaker, fill with ice and shake for 30 seconds.
Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
Gently pour the 1/2 Oz of red wine over the back of a spoon into the rocks glass to create the "float".
